Piana 由 03 年第一張專輯《Snow Bird》、05年的 《Ephemeral》 到 07 年的 《Eternal Castle》，都維持著每兩年一張專輯的規律，然而最新的第四張專輯《Muse》距對上一張卻是七年之久；想來已十年有多，時間是過得那樣快。

原來在這段時間， Piana 已經是兩子之母，與電音創作人柏大輔（Kashiwa Daisuk）組織了家庭（柏大輔 2010 年也來過澳門演出），展開了人生另一頁。

由於過了這麼久，我也不厭其煩的再簡介一次。Piana 是日本女獨立電音樂手--佐佐木直子的個人Project；從創作、錄音到製作幾乎一手包辦；擅長運用電腦音樂，樂風如在虛空下唱詠，孤寂、脆弱、空靈的音律在星空下迴響。

新專輯和以往一樣，曲詞編唱幾乎由她一手包辦。"I Think..." 作開場序幕，熟悉的嗓子和 Kanae Kyo 的空蕩蕩鋼琴聲迴盪於邊際，聲線依舊的純淨；之後的 "Imaginary Window" 唱和於虛空，從前的感覺回來了。"In Silence" 簡單木結他和弦作引子，沉靜中慢慢滲出零碎電音，氣氛凝重又沉鬱；"Nostalgia" 則帶點民謠老味的樂風。

"Ruins" 和 "Borderless" 是輕為激盪的曲目，前者斷續和零碎電音比以往更重型，所謂的重型只是相對的形容；而後者有柏大輔加持下，電音張狂的穿插著整首曲目。"7 Years" 屏息靜氣的前奏和唱和，正好以這首歌作為時間的緩衝。"Phosphorescence" 回復少女唱腔，時而躍動時而激昂。最後以簡單鋼琴主導的"Tohanabi"作完結。

對於曾兩度來澳演出的 Piana 份外有親切感*，而這第四張專輯我會視作為她的新開始。少了《Snow Bird》以往重疊又斷續、點點零碎音律，沒有《Ephemeral》和《Eternal Castle》盪氣迴腸而憂愁的弦樂，連貫性也相對減少，甚至純音樂也沒有；換來的是更多的狂躁電音和自《Ephemeral》後所浮現出以歌聲為主導的音樂取向。然而在潔淨的嗓子下產生了不錯的化學作用和新驚喜。也期望能再次欣賞到她的現場演出。

在官網優先訂購的，除了有親筆感謝簽名和歌詞附送外，還有額外三首玩味性高的 Bonus Track 包括 "Close"、"Birthday"和 "Black"以及四首包括："I Think..."、"In Silence"、"Nostalgia" 和 "Borderless" 音樂供下載。
