十年前(1995)，一張為波斯尼亞戰火中兒童籌款的合輯《Help》面世，唱片結集了Oasis、The Stone Roses、The Boo Radleys、Radiohead、Orbital、Portishead、Massive Attack、Suede、The Charlatans/The Chemical Brothers等當時得令音樂單位的作品；在當時，我也為了一曲Radiohead的"Lucky"而購入《Help》EP。
十年後，慈善團體War Child再發動《Help》合輯的使命，集合一眾英國樂隊齊在9月8日為War Child的新一張籌款合輯《Help: A Day In The Life》進行錄音，作品馬上在翌日(9月9日) 提供下載，CD則在同月出版。
承接前張《Help》合輯，雲集了多個當時得令的音樂單位，收錄了不少改編曲目；
Radiohead令人期待的全新單曲"I Want None Of It"有著《Hail To The Thief》時期的曲調，Keane玩Elton John的"Goodbye Yellow Brick Road"，Antony & The Johnsoons聯同Boy George玩John Lennon的"Happy Christmas, War Is Over",
還有Coldplay、Kaiser Chiefs、Bloc Party、Manic Street Preachers、The Coral、Razorlight、Mylo等群星坐陣；
其中Gorillaz- "Hong Kong"更是在香港收錄,是為全碟最浪漫緻美的曲目。
由於音樂單位眾多，其中兩首曲Belle and Sebastian- "he Eighth Station of the Cross Kebab House"和The Zutons - "Hello Conscience"未能收錄在CD內，若想收聽便要透過付款下載了。
